To the child of Qana, trapped inside a bomb shelter, obliterated before
ever having had the chance to enjoy Life, a victim of one of the most
hideous of war crimes, and of the barbarism of this day, I say
:
I AM THE ISRAELI PILOT THAT
WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE MURDER OF THE INNOCENT ON HIS
CONSCIENCE
I AM THE HEZBOLLAH FIGHTER
WHO FIRES MISSILES ON CIVILIANS FROM WITHIN VILLAGES AND URBAN
CENTERS
I AM THE WESTERN LEADER WHO
HAS MISSED OUT ON AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW REAL
STATESMANSHIP
I AM THIS BYSTANDER WHO COULD
NOT - WOULD NOT - STOP THE HORROR
I AM GUILTY OF YOUR
SUFFERING. NO REGRETS, NO EXCUSES CAN ERASE
THAT.

Very well expressed.
Humanity has lots its touch with reality. I am living a hellish nightmare because nobody can do anything to stop this madness. Murderers are hiding behind lies. I don't wish the same to happen to Israel even if it is the aggressor.

It is so sad to read/hear about what is going on in the middle east, with scores of innocent civilians getting hurt/killed on both sides, but regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel's part for whatever reason, please ponder the following:
If the Arabs put down their weapons, there would be no more violence.
If the Jews put down their weapons, there would be no more Jews.
If the Arabs put down their weapons, there would be no more violence.
If the Jews put down their weapons, there would be no more Jews.
zoomburuk,
It is very easy to take sides. Here, I'll show you how it can be done:
If the Jews give up their claim for the land, there would be no more violence.
Christians, Muslims, and Jews were living in peace before Israel was forced down by the UN which by the way Israel does not abide to its resolutions.
Why do you expect the Palestinians to give up their rights of the land?
Israel knows very well that all it takes is one mistake to erase it from the map. So there is a need for urgency at all times.
Why doesn't the Israeli government sincerely tries to make peace while it has the upper hand instead of bringing misery and injustice to the Palestinians. Why do they keep establishing settlements in the occupied land? Why do they strip the Palestinians from their right to live in their land? Who gave them that right? I think that the Palestinian resitance suits the needs of the Israeli very well because it gives them the pretence of self-defence. Does this bring a parallel to the self-defence argument for engaging into a war on Lebanon? Is there really a threat? Or is just cooked up?
Violence bring only more violence. I don't agree to HA's actions, but certainly not to Israel's. Maybe the world seems to be just watching right now, yet I am certain that the population of the world are seeing a disproportionate and unjustified retaliation. Who knows how this will translate after one generation!
