Beirut -
Lebanon |
July 17
What I'm about to say, i do not say because i'm a peace loving, ganja
smoking, grateful dead listening hippie, but because i dislike the idea
of organized governements sending the little men out killing innocent
civilians. What i want to say is "Food not Bombs".
I'm 16 years old, and I live in Beirut, Lebanon, as i have for ten
years now. I am an American/Syrian citizen. And i find the hypocrisy so
overt, so out there, so obvious to any human, that if you do not see it
you are simply an idiot. Everyone sees it, but why does noone outside
the arab region say anything? Everyone sees Bush, standing by Israel,
saying it has a right to defend itself. And I'm sure EVERYONE knows
that Bush is simply saying this to stand by his fuck buddy. But why do
i hear nothing from anybody? Everyone sees that it's complete bullshit
that Israel is targeting only Hizbollah, as the whole of Lebanon is
being effected. So why does noone say anything?! How can the American
news media be so biased? How come all i see on the American news
channels is "8 civilians killed in Haifa"? This madness has to stop.
This is the same load of crap we have seen from politics since the
beginning of time. We shouldn't stand to be lied to. We shouldn't
except Israel's bullshit reasons for attacking us, we shouldn't except
the hesitancy of the politicians outside of lebanon, we shouldn't
except the suffering of innocents, and we definintely shouldn't except
Israeli and American propaganda. Yes i said it...PROPAGANDA. This war
has nothing to do with what is happening now. It has to do with past
alliances, it has to geopolitics and positioning and all this load of
other crap that you and i have got nothing to do with.
If you have any intelligence at all, after reading this email, your
response should be "Well duh! Tell me something i don't know". And i
hope this is so. Fuck this war, fuck propaganda, fuck the torture and
murder of innocents. We must rise as youth, these are our streets and
our future, let's make our voice heard. I've seen all you kids walking
around school with huge peace signs on your backpacks. You want peace?
Prove it. Food not bombs.
